About
Todd Mendelsohn
He competed. That is why he knows what week eight of a prep feels like before you tell him, and why he already has an answer ready.
Todd came up in the era before online coaching existed as a product. You trained in a real gym with people who had been doing it longer than you, you got corrected in person, and if you were doing something stupid somebody told you that morning rather than in a weekly summary email. That immediacy is the thing the internet quietly removed.
He spent years writing plans, and good ones: diets built off real body composition, programmes phased properly across a year. Then he watched most of them get abandoned around week six. The training was fine. Life happened on a Tuesday, nobody was watching, and the plan quietly stopped.
So he changed what he sold. Same document, plus himself, three times a day. Morning, afternoon, night. Weight, food, training. Thirty seconds of the client’s day and several hours of his. To make that work he had to shrink his client list. That trade is the whole business.
The supplements came later, and for an unromantic reason: getting two grams of protein per pound of lean mass out of chicken alone is a grind, and a genuine hard gainer eating 7,500 calories a day physically cannot chew that much. Short ingredient lists, the full panel printed on the tub, nothing in there you would have to look up.

How he works
Four things he will not budge on.
- 01
The document was never the problem
People do not fail because their programme was wrong. They fail because nobody noticed when they stopped. Every plan Todd wrote before this one was fine. Most of them were abandoned in month two.
- 02
Set protein against lean mass, not bodyweight
Fat has no protein requirement. Scaling a diet to the scale gives lean people too little and heavy people a target they cannot eat. Two grams per pound of lean body mass is the number every plan here is built on.
- 03
A small roster or it is a lie
Three texts a day multiplied by a hundred clients is three hundred messages a day. Anybody promising daily contact at scale is using templates or an assistant. The cap exists because the arithmetic does.

Say the unglamorous thing
The 7500 calorie diet is miserable. The home plans have a real ceiling on leg training. A year is how long it actually takes. Selling around any of that gets you a refund request in week six.
